COVID-19 Updates:

Fully vaccinated visitors are no longer required to wear face masks in the Garden, however, we do ask that all visitors wear masks when indoors. 


The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden welcomes visitors seven days a week, rain or shine. The Garden is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and during some special events. The Garden is open on Sunday, December 26, 2021 and Saturday, January 1, 2022

Garden Hours

Last admission is at 4:30 p.m.

Garden Nursery

10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Summer Hours (March - October)

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Winter Hours (November - February)

9 - 10 a.m. Members Hour (Year Round)

Please read our current guidelines to ensure a safe and pleasurable visit. 

Admission is paid at the entrance kiosk. No advance reservation necessary. Our maximum capacity is often reached on weekends. The best times to visit are weekdays and late afternoons. 

Adult: $16
Seniors (60+): $12
Students with ID: $10
Youth (3-17): $8

Admission is free for the following: Members, Children ages 2 & under, Dogs (on leash)

Group Discounts are not available at this time except for youth groups and university classes.

The Garden is located at 1212 Mission Canyon Road Santa Barbara, CA 93105. It is easily accessible by car, and parking is free. Electric Vehicle Charging Station is available in the parking lot. Get driving directions
