COVID-19 Garden Updates

Garden Updates: 

 

The Garden is open to guests every day from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m with COVID-19 related precautions. Members can also visit during Members-Only hour 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. 

No one will be admitted without a face mask or a face shield. Face coverings must be worn at all times on Garden grounds.

We’re all excited to be back in the Garden, and we all are responsible for ensuring a safe, enjoyable visit. Read about our current visitor guidelines, developed in accordance with current State and Local orders, as well as with the help of our Health and Wellness Partner, Cottage Health. 

No on-site classes, tours, events, or programs are available at this time. All indoor facilities remain closed to the public, except restrooms.

Facility Rentals:

The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden cannot host ceremonies, events, or weddings greater than 35 people; including hosts and guests. Receptions and parties are not permitted. For more information on facility rentals, please visit our "Host an event" tab at sbbg.org/venues

Photography

Both amateur and professional photographers are welcome to come and capture the natural beauty of the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. If you are a photographer planning to visit for the purpose of taking photos, please contact Guest Services or call (805) 682-4726 to request an Amateur or Professional Photography Permit. You may bring the appropriate one with you, or fill one out upon arrival.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions enforced by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, face coverings must be worn at all times on Garden grounds. We are currently unable to accommodate photo shoots in which participants wish to remove face coverings or are unable to maintain physical distancing with other groups in the Garden.
