COVID-19 Garden Updates

Garden Status Update – As of Monday May 18th

The County of Santa Barbara’s Public Health Department has recently reclassified the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden as an ‘essential business,’ paving the way for a phased re-opening in the weeks ahead. Read the full press release here.

The Garden is currently open to Santa Barbara Botanic Garden Members by reservation only. While we remain closed to the general public, we are very excited to begin a gradual, phased reopening of the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, beginning with limited access for our Garden Members. We are opening to our Members first to temporarily maintain a safe, limited number of Garden visitors. Learn more about membership reservation guidelines here.
