STEMS in the Garden
Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Sustainability
The Garden's STEMS summer programs introduce the whole family to the wonders of nature through interactive learning experiences. We hope to encourage a lifelong interest in plant science and ecology by fostering an appreciation and understanding of the natural world.
Saturday Morning Family Walks
This summer, the Garden will be offering Saturday morning family-fun walks one once a month. These informal guided tours will explore a variety of topics with a walk around the Garden. Each walk is 9:30-11am.
Sign up for gardENotes to get updates on our upcoming classes and events.
Field Trips for Camp Groups
We host Docent-led Nature Walks for camp groups to explore the native plant communities of California: deserts, wetlands, oak woodlands, chaparral, redwood forest, and riparian. Discover how native plants are adapted to different environments and look for animals that rely on them. Find out how local geography, geology, and climate affect plant life.
Tours are offered Tuesday and Thursday mornings 10:00 - 11:00 from June 21 to August 11.
