Linda Ann Vorobik is a Phd Botanist, Botanical Artist, and illustrator for The Jepson Manual and Channel Island Floras. Inspired from the Garden: From Field to Floras shares her botanical line drawings and watercolors along with her hand-painted silk wall hangings that together celebrate different plant habitats represented in the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and found throughout California.

Opening Reception on April 5, 4-6pm


Linda Ann Vorobik, PhDLinda Ann Vorobik, botanist, editor, and illustrator of numerous botanical publications, cherishes all three west coast states as home. She holds a PhD from the University of Oregon, and conducts field research and teaches in the Siskiyou Mountains and at other sites. She currently on Lopez Island, Washington, and is affiliated with UC Berkeley and UW Seattle herbaria and with the Santa Barbara Botanical Garden. Linda has over 30 years of experience including illustration and college level teaching and is the principal illustrator of, for example, The Jepson Manual: Higher Plants of California, and has contributed many illustrations to the Morphology and Evolution of Vascular Plants.
