Join local herbalist Emily Sanders to learn about the native medicinal plants that grow in our region. Come explore the Douglas Family Preserve to move your body, breathe, and reconnect with nature. During this morning walk, you will learn about the folk, medicinal, and culinary uses of herbs, trees, and shrubs that grow in our own backyard. Emily will discuss safe plant ID, ethical wild crafting, along with easy to make herbal remedies for everyday ailments.

Emily Sanders has been studying herbal medicine and holistic healing since 2009 and is passionate about connecting people to their local plant allies. Emily believes that the magic of the plants comes from the connections we have with them. As herbs are used to heal people, people in turn help heal the plants by growing gardens and protecting ecosystems.
