iNaturalist is one of the largest online social networks for naturalists! This two part special workshop is taught by Ken-ichi Ueda, one of the founders, and now co-director of iNaturalist at the California Academy of Sciences.

You've learned the basics of participating in the iNaturalist community, now take the next steps. Learn how to export data, identify observations by others more rapidly, annotate observation with phenological traits, and more (topics TBD).

Instructor

Ken-ichi Ueda is an avid naturalist with a background in both biology and software development, having worked as a wildlife technician, GIS developer, and web developer for a variety of organizations, including UC Berkeley and Goodreads.com. Ken-ichi developed iNaturalist while pursuing a Masters degree at the UC Berkeley School of Information in 2008 and currently serves as its co-director. If you see someone with a bad case of poison oak reading a field guide on the train, it's probably him.
