The Urasenke Way of Tea

Learn how to make a bowl of Matcha, Japanese powdered green tea, and serve it to your guest in the spirit of appreciation and hospitality, the cornerstones of the tradition of Urasenke. Half of the class time will be in the Blaksley Library where you will make your own bowl of tea and enjoy traditional sweets, while the other half will be at the ShinaKanAn Teahouse for a demonstration of the Way of Tea, given by the students of Mrs. Kyoko Kasai.

Bring warm clothes if the day is chilly, hats if it is hot.
