Closing Reception - Inspired from the Garden: From Field to Floras

Join us for the closing reception of Linda Ann Vorobik's show of botanical art and hand-painted silks. Linda will be working on a new piece throughout the reception – come see her creative process in person. Her cards, prints, and silk scarves will be available for sale. Enjoy light refreshments while you grab a few gifts for yourself and loved ones, enjoy a last look at the show, pick up art that you’ve purchased, or just say hello to Linda.


Linda Ann Vorobik, PhDLinda Ann Vorobik, botanist, editor, and illustrator of numerous botanical publications, cherishes all three west coast states as home. She holds a PhD from the University of Oregon, and conducts field research and teaches in the Siskiyou Mountains and at other sites. She currently on Lopez Island, Washington, and is affiliated with UC Berkeley and UW Seattle herbaria and with the Santa Barbara Botanical Garden. Linda has over 30 years of experience including illustration and college level teaching and is the principal illustrator of, for example, The Jepson Manual: Higher Plants of California, and has contributed many illustrations to the Morphology and Evolution of Vascular Plants.
