SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Wildflowers are attracting more than bees at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden.

People are flocking to see California Poppies and Purple Sage and other wildflowers.

Horticulturalist Bruce Reed said they are about 3 to 4 weeks away from reaching their peak.

Reed, also known as "The Plant Guy" said he wouldn't call it a superbloom just yet, like the wildflowers in the desert, but he said it’s a great bloom thanks to the rain.

The Garden is open seven days a week and guides are hosting are a series of field trips to see wildflowers displays.

The garden is also gearing up for its spring native plant sale that begins on March 30.
