Fellowships
The Garden periodically offers graduate fellowships in systematic and evolutionary plant biology. The purpose of these fellowships is to provide graduate training to young scientists who are engaged in research studies leading to the Ph.D. degree in the areas of plant evolution and plant systematics.
Eligible students must have an undergraduate degree in the plant sciences and must be enrolled in a graduate program of study through the cooperative agreement between the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Graduate fellows are expected to participate in various elements of the Garden's research program. Normally, participation will include collaboration with Garden research staff on specific projects and research leading to the graduate degree.
