Celebrate California native plants with us!
Maybe you’ve had an urge to “get your hands in the dirt.” Or perhaps you want to help things grow. You might enjoy enhancing our visitors’ experience or you may be a “behind-the-scenes” type who wants to lend a hand. Whatever your motivation, we welcome your talent and enthusiasm!
Make Friends Among the Natives - Become a Garden Volunteer
You can make new friends while enjoying a relaxing, peaceful environment and becoming knowledgeable about the plant and animal life of our region. We provide the training and tools for you to be successful.
All volunteers become members of the SBBG Volunteer Association, which meets quarterly and provides an opportunity to meet volunteers in other groups at the garden, as well as a chance to hear educational speakers or get up to date on Garden issues. The Association is governed by a 6-member Volunteer Council elected each year from the group as a whole to afford a direct method of communication with the Garden staff, administration and Board of Trustees.
To learn more about the many opportunities for service, check out the Volunteers Opportunities page. Complete the online form (on this page) or download the Volunteer Application and submit via any of the following methods:
