Seed the Future - Campaign Leadership

Message from the Executive Director:

Not only have the past three years been my first experience as an executive director, they have been my first experience with a campaign. This has been quite a learning experience and an exercise in faith. Fundraising is hard work but when the work is done, the outcome is both joyful and humbling. For me, these moments came in waves as you will see below – the joy of seeing Mrs. John C. Pritzlaff turning the dirt on the Garden's new Conservation Center building after nearly two decades of planning; the desire of Drs. Ken & Shirley Tucker to protect the foundations of science through endowing a much needed Systematist position at the Garden; and the creation of an invaluable new partnership with UCSB, as a result of listening to the long-time philanthropic wisdom of Ms. Sara Miller McCune. It is a pleasure to share these stories and the progress of our Seed the Future campaign with you.
