Santa Barbara Native Beauty Senior Photo Contest Slide Show

Join us in the Garden's Blaksley Library to see a slide show of the winning photographs from our photo contest along with other contest entries. Refreshments will be served. An award ceremony and reception open to all Garden visitors will be held from 2 - 3:30 pm. The images in the show are part of our 2016 photography contest designed to showcase seniors’ interpretations of our region’s renowned landscapes and native flora. The competition was judged by Santa Barbara-based photographer and author, Bill Zeldis.  Award winners include:

First – David Cheng for “Garden Scene"

Second – Barbara Hodgdon, for “Happy Tree,”

Third -  Ines Labunski Roberts for “Weed Reflections on a Lake”

Honorable Mentions were awarded to Margaret Kay Dodd for “Quiet Splendor” and Daniel Rivera for “Crafty Recycling.”

A Destination for Seniors All Year Round:  For the third year in a row our generous sponsor,  Welch-Ryce-Haider Funeral Chapels is providing six free admission days to seniors 60 years of age and better between February 27 and December 18, 2017.  Generally held on the third Monday of every other month, these unique days often will include programming just for seniors and their guests.
