Celebrate National Public Gardens Day with an exclusive Garden Lovers Tour!

WHO: Casa del Herrero, Ganna Walska Lotusland, Alice Keck Park Memorial Gardens
WHAT: Garden Lovers Tour
Enjoy three of Santa Barbara’s most celebrated gardens. Lotusland and Casa del Herrero tours will feature specially-trained garden docents for those facilities. At Alice Keck Park Memorial Gardens, morning tours will be led by the garden’s original designer Grant Castleberg and Carol Terry, the well-known City Parks caretaker of Alice for over 15 years; afternoon tours will be led by author and landscape architect Billy Goodnick and Virginia Hayes, garden writer and Curator of Lotusland.
The Garden Lovers Tour includes:
- Alice Keck Park Memorial Gardens – The crown jewel of the City park system, “Alice” feeds the mind and spirit of visitors, featuring unique botanical and horticultural elements in an exquisite urban retreat
- Casa del Herrero - A National Historic Landmark, the estate garden is one of the few remaining as originally designed during the Golden Age of American Gardens(1895-1940)
- Ganna Walska Lotusland - A world-renowned 37-acre botanical estate garden featuring design whimsy and containing rare subtropical and tropical plants from around the world
WHEN: Friday, May 10, 8am to 12:30pm -OR- 1pm to 5:30pm
FEE: $50.00 includes docent-led tours, transportation between gardens, and free parking at the starting point. Reservations are required by calling 805-565-5653. Space is limited.
